Transitioning from a design and development role, we are available to reconfigure your space and make the right improvements over time.
- Plan
With cloud based tools like Basecamp, Dropbox and Intuit Online, we share our whole plan so you understand the process at every section of the project.
- Installation
Careful attention to detail is invested to protect the building and the floor before and after any installation. Prior to any installation, we go on-site for field verification, to confirm what is laid in the plan is what is in fact in the field. Additionally, we coordinate with property managers, superintendents and electrical and data contractors regarding the installation schedule.
Meet The Team
Thegn Putman, Founder, Design & Project Consultation
Thegn graduated in 1985 from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing. In addition to a career as a professional volleyball player, Thegn pursued his interest in big wave surfing in global locations that included Costa Rica, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand. His love of international culture drew him to the diverse community of Hawaii, where he immediately put his degree and his work ethic to use and quickly achieved responsibility for five Chart House restaurants in the Pacific Rim area. Thegn instituted innovative new strategies for attracting business to Chart House that included inviting undiscovered local musicians to perform in these exclusive venues – including the now widely known Jack Johnson. His dedication and innovative business style soon earned him a position in the Marketing Division of Verizon Communications, where he excelled and caught the attention of major contract furniture firm Steelcase, Inc. Thegn’s meteoric rise through the ranks of the business world continued after his recruitment by Steelcase. In 2000, he became a Sales Manager for BKM Total Office in California and put his knowledge and expertise to work in serving customers in the contract office furnishings industry, a field he has dominated ever since. Thegn’s success is a testament to the power of hard work and dedication in the business world.
Daniel Chu, Chief Creative Officer
After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Irvine, Daniel put his in-depth knowledge of standards and specifications to work in the field of precision ball bearing furniture slide design at Accuride International. He spent more than 14 years perfecting his knowledge of cutting-edge engineering techniques before shifting his focus to office layouts and remodels, manufacturing environments and space planning in the corporate marketplace. Daniel was instrumental in completing a $2.5 million corporate office redesign and has played a role in creating innovative and cost-effective strategies for managing space and creating workable solutions for corporate workspaces. Daniel’s expertise in AutoCAD and 20/20 Giza software packages serves him well in his role as Facility Service’s on-staff process engineering guru. Daniel is also a frustrated weekend golfer and enjoys rooting for L.A.’s “other basketball team” with his wife and son.
Linda Arellano, Lead Creative Designer
Linda graduated from California State University, Long Beach with her Bachelor of Science in Marketing. She developed her leadership skills at Starbucks where she was a part of team management and integrating new operational business practices in stores. Linda decided to pursue her passion for design in 2016 by going to Orange Coast College to obtain her Associates Degree in Interior Design. Her eye for design coupled with her ability to lead and follow through ensures that each project is treated and carried through with the utmost attention to design detail and client needs. Linda’s ability to space plan, problem solve, and build relationships makes her an exceptional part of Facility Service’s design team.
Angel Ruiz, Lead Installer
With more than 19 years of experience under his belt in installation, project management and leadership in the field of contract office furnishings, Angel is an exceptional asset to our team. His insistence on absolute perfection and his keen attention to detail ensure that our customers are completely satisfied with the results of his hard work. He has worked internationally with Drayage Companies and has performed installations in Hawaii, Samoa, Guam and Palau; his major professional credits include a 350-workstation installation for the L.A. Times, a 375-workstation project for Southern California Edison in Los Angeles and a 235-workstation assignment for Toshiba America in Irvine, California. Angel’s practical and focused approach ensures that he achieves the best results in a wide range of workplace installation projects and in a variety of working environments.
